America gets blown over by Scubar

Try as she may, hurricane Wilma couldn’t stop the Scubar bandwagon rolling into the United States via the recent International Boat Builders Exhibition (IBEX) held at the Miami Beach Convention Centre in Florida held between Oct. 19-21.

“The aim of this trip was to introduce Scubar to potential new distributors for the US market” commented Tony Digweed Director of Iris Surveillance Ltd, the Southampton UK  based manufacturer of the Scubar submersible video inspection system.

He went on “not only did the Scubar receive a fantastic reception from American marine buyers, but we also managed to appoint our first state side distributor and service centre”.

Further details of this appointment will be announced shortly.

Generally visitor figures were far less than expected, predominantly due to the impending “Wilma” who was at the time being reported as the largest hurricane ever to make landfall in mainland America.

However, the Scubar stand was one of the few stands to attract a constant flow of visitors, the vast majority of whom expressed serious interest in the product. As a direct result of this interest the first stock shipment of Scubars has left the UK this week bound for Fort Lauderdale.

After such a successful show in Miami and the subsequent enquiries that the team at Scubar have received it is confidently predicted that there are even bigger and better things to come for Scubar in the US. Watch this space!
